The Giclée allows a patron the option of buying a high-end reproduction of their favorite original work of art at a fraction of the price of the original work. Giclées are commonly found in museums and the most prominent galleries around the world. For example, numerous examples of giclées can be found in New York City at the Metropololitan Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Chelsea Galleries. At recent auctions giclées have sold for $10,800 for Annie Leibovitz, $9,600 for Chuck Close, and $22,800 for Wofgang Tillmans Photographs.
